About Joseph
Born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, Joseph is very much a New Mexican, enjoying endless access to a fresh supply of green chile, a unique culture influenced by the state’s rich history, and strikingly art-worthy landscapes. All of the photos uploaded to this site are from past travels in the state. Joseph’s primary interests are in health care delivery via telehealth solutions, population health, and politics, specifically the synthesis of technology and health care and how new technologies can impact a community’s overall health and well-being with the goal to prevent illness and injury before it occurs. In his spare time, Joseph enjoys traveling, hiking, backpacking, playing hockey, biking, skiing, and reading as much as possible from novels to the news.

Center for Telehealth
The UNM Center for Telehealth endeavors to connect providers with patients by employing telecommunication to expand access to healthcare in New Mexico. Joseph works as a project coordinator in the ACCESS program, helping connect patients with providers via telehealth in 25 specialties to more than 40 sites/clinics.
NMHE Board Member
NMHE or New Mexico Healthcare Executives is the premier organization for healthcare executives in NM. Joseph serves on NMHE’s Board as the Chair of Communications and manages their online presence, assists in the coordination of events and resources, and regularly communicates with existing and interested members.
Population Health
Joseph recently completed his Bachelor of Science in population health at the University of New Mexico. During his degree, he focused on preventative health, epidemiology, and the expansion of healthcare access via telehealth solutions. Joseph is now studying Health Administration at the College of Public Administration at UNM.
